Task

• conception, planning and parameterisation of complex communications networks (IP, MPLS and DWDM)
• consulting of network operators in the setup and operation of highly secure communications networks
• development and planning of concepts to connect local sites to central network structures
• analysis and optimisation of network structures considering cost, performance and availability aspects

Description

The P3 communications GmbH is a leading, internationally active company in the telecommunications sector. For our customers, we offer consulting services in planning, roll-out, operation, security and optimisation of mobile and fixed networks. In addition, we conduct international studies and projects for quality assurance in mobile radio. For this, we use numerous self-developed measurement systems.

Qualification

• degree in communications engineering, information and communication technology (ICT) or a comparable field of study
• several years of industry-specific work experience
• good to excellent knowledge of OSPF, BGP, ISIS, MPLS, TCP/IP, QoS, IPv6
• good knowledge in the field of network security and encryption technologies
• good knowledge in the field of network management
• good knowledge in the fields of routing and switching (unicast/multicast) in combination with Cisco switches or Cisco, Juniper and Huawei routers respectively
  
• Cisco-, Juniper-, or Huawei certification (optional)
• fundamental knowledge of telecommunications technologies (ISDN, GSM, UMTS, TETRA)
• fundamental knowledge in the fields of VoIP and NGN
• experience in project work as well as ITIL knowledge (optional)
• confident appearance, driving licence and willingness to travel (mostly in Germany)
• fluency in spoken and written German and English
