Revealing security holes

"There are numerous possibilities for abuse in mobile radio networks. P3 is a reliable partner, eliminating those possibilities one by one."

In the course of the globalization of services and networks, complex heterogenous network structures have emerged. Subnets with different technologies and responsibilities are interconnected, new providers and flexible services like VoIP gain traction. “On the one hand services and providers must be able to access conventional telecommunication networks and customers easily, on the other hand the information transaction has to be secure”, explains Hakan Ekmen, managing director of P3 Networks.

Ensuring that security is a new challenge in view of rapidly changing markets. “Soon we’ll have to expect 16-year-olds, who have the know-how and the software to do substantial damage”, predicts Ekmen. And youthful escapades like that are just the top of the iceberg, whole new forms of crime are imaginable.

P3 Networks rises to this challenge with a security audit, whose methods are constantly adapted to the market situation. For operators, services and networks are checked for abuse potential, manipulation of technical identities and non-authorized data access.

Among the results of the security audit is also a presentation of potential risks and probabilities of occurrence, which contains the prioritization and the clustering of results. Following is a strategy and implementation consultation, says Ekmen: “Not only the networks and services of the operators are in good hands over here. Of course results and interpretations are treated as highly confidential.”
