The success story of the Hamburg-based start-up jetlite shows that the Innovation Award of German Aviation (IDL) can be a stepping stone. In 2017, jetlite won in the category "Customer Journey". The Award is organized by P3 together with the associations and organisations BDLI, BDL, Bitkom, DLR and ZAL. jetlite founder and managing director Dr. Achim Leder encourages to apply for the IDL 2019 – applications can still be submitted under idl.aero until March 31, 2019.
Dr. Achim Leder: "Since we have won the IDL, we have been perceived much more seriously in the industry. Applying for the IDL is really worth it! The attention that IDL has generated for us gave us a big boost."
The innovative solution of jetlite optimally adapts the lighting of aircraft cabins on long-distance flights to the human biorhythm with the help of an algorithm, thus reducing the feeling of jet lag. Already today, a lighting algorithm developed by jetlite is used in all Lufthansa Airbus A350. Toni Garrn, top model from Hamburg and professional frequent flyer, is co-founder of the company.
