    What you'll do

    • You will be responsible for the structural optimization of existing assembly and logistics operations along the entire value chain.
    • You will be the link between production and development.
    • You will lead cross-functional industrial project teams.
    • You will implement new and further development of existing processes/procedures in our customers' production line.
    • You will develop a lean logistics flow throughout the plant and drive a continuous improvement process regarding quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
    • You will prepare and continuously update the contingency plan for plants, plant layouts, and off-site sequencing centers.
    • You will prepare work instructions for operators, manufacture time studies, and ensure standardization of these processes.
    • You will provide technical support to the manufacturing teams when introducing new products in the plant and execute this according to budget, planning, and mandatory requirements.
    • You will manage manufacturing cost reduction projects to meet production cost targets by selecting the most efficient and cost-effective tools for the assembly processes.
    • You will organize and coordinate trials of new equipment and processes in the plant in accordance with the commissioning plan through to acceptance.
    • You will manage day-to-day equipment installation with the equipment supplier and provide documentation to management.
    • You will support the operations management to resolve production and quality bottlenecks and provide new technical solutions to improve production performance (productivity, quality, safety, availability).
    • You will provide input on training and conducting training sessions.

    Who you are

    • You have at least a Bachelor of Engineering degree: Mechanical/ Industrial/Electrical or similar.
    • You have 6+ years of experience in the automotive industry with a focus in the final assembly environment.
    • You have good knowledge in lean production principles, material flow optimization, and continuous improvement processes.
    • You produce clear status reports and can identify issues, create solutions, and navigate resolutions.
    • You are experienced in leading a team.
    • You call yourself a pragmatic doer with digital competence and are up for being a brand ambassador for P3.
    • You are characterized by a precise, independent, and structured way of working in a fast-paced environment; you have quick perception and a high business acumen; you motivate others, drive collaboration, and resolve conflicts quickly.
    • You also meet the standard blah-blah: your English skills are very good and you are potentially fluent in an additional language (German is a plus!); you work well in a team but also on your own; you know your way around MS Office, you are communicative; you have a high level of presentation skills and are highly flexible.
    • You are willing to travel.
    • You are authorized to work in the U.S.
