In 2004, we were entrusted with consulting services for a major project. It focused on migrating 2D data for a complete aircraft line to 3D. The customer was so satisfied with our project management and technical competence that they asked whether P3 would be interested in taking over off-shore construction work in India as well. It was a big challenge, but we were happy to tackle it. P3 engineering and our office in India have grown out of this opportunity. P3 is one of four Airbus Group E2S preferred supplier for engineering and customer services with rank A and therefore Germany's largest supplier for aerospace engineering. Since 2011 we are a design organization in accordance with EASA 21J 469. This certification was a game changer, giving us the chance to get into the product business. We combine innovative engineering approaches with an intelligent supply chain concept. This allows us to supply all emergency equipment for the A350. We’re also proud to be a “risk sharing partner” for the A350.
Furthermore, we will be delivering structural components for the new Beluga for our partner Deharde. We scored points for our design automation approaches, which led to reduced lead times and reduced expenses in the development process. We’re already working on transferring these P3 skills to other industries. Initial examples include the development of electric design concepts in automotive construction and technical documentation for OEMs in shipbuilding.
