Stuttgart / Munich / July 29th 2020 – International management and technology consultancy P3 Group is joining EV 100 initiative by The Climate Group. With this membership P3 gives a clear commitment for electrification of the entire business fleet until 2030 and to set-up charging infrastructure at 17 international office locations.

Today P3 is operating an EV fleet of 18 vehicles, thereof 13 battery electric vehicles and 5 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Only in the first quarter of 2019 the fleet has covered more than 20.500 km electrically – this is a plus of 147% in comparison to the same quarter a year ago. P3 saves up to 2.500 kg CO2 per quarter with the electric fleet. To integrate the EVs to the vehicle pool is especially recommended – the average mileage per booking is around 37 km. But also for long-distance trips the EVs have proven their operational readiness: Some of the business vehicles (pure battery electric) have covered more than 30,000 km over the past year.

P3 Group is supporting its customers from automotive and energy industry for almost 15 years with the transformation towards electric mobility and is convinced, that electric driving is the technology of the future. Markus Hackmann, Managing Director for Electric Mobility: “P3 is convinced that electric driving is the technology of the future – based on our strong commitment to the topic, we also want to make contribution by electrifying our fleet and equip our office sites with suitable charging infrastructure. EV100 offers a very good platform to discuss the electrification of business fleets, share experiences and join forces with regard to multiple challenges. We are pleased to become a part of EV 100 and to cooperate with The Climate Group in the future.”

EV 100 is an international initiative to accelerate the transformation towards electric fleets. The members commit themselves to use electric vehicles in their fleets and install suitable charging infrastructure. Up until today companies with a total of more than 2 million fleet vehicles joined the initiative to electrify their fleets until 2030. Charging infrastructure will be installed at more than 2,000 company sites. Sandra Roling, Head of EV 100: “We’re delighted to welcome P3 as a new EV100 member. Its commitment as a company with long-standing expertise in the automotive sector, P3’s participation send a clear signal that the transition to electro-mobility is already well under way.”
