What you'll do

  • Operational Alignment & Translation: Act as a bi-directional interface between business and IT, translating operational needs into clear IT requirements and communicating IT risks, constraints, and dependencies back to business leadership to enable informed decisions.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Build strong, trust-based relationships with Country Management, Site Leaders, and key user groups through regular on-site presence in Germany, serving as the primary IT contact and escalation point for operational topics.
  • SLA Tracking & Accountability: Monitor, and report on SLAs and service KPIs, holding internal IT teams and external vendors accountable while driving continuous improvement focused on business impact and user experience.
  • Resolution Leadership: In critical incidents affecting operations, you take ownership from a business perspective and take appropriate action. 
  • Strategic Improvement & Continuous Optimization: Identify recurring service issues and operational inefficiencies and leverage direct access to the COO to initiate and drive improvements that enhance service quality and end-user experience across the group.

Who you are

  • 5+ years in Service Delivery Management, IT Business Partnering, or IT-focused Operations Management
  • Solid practical knowledge of ITIL
  • Strong understanding of how IT services, SLAs, and service costs impact business performance, risk, and efficiency
  • Proven ability to translate business expectations into measurable service requirements and SLAs
  • Natural representative of end-user and operational interests toward IT and service providers
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Willingness to travel regularly to German sites
  • Familiarity with other relevant standards (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001, Lean IT, TiSAX) is a plus
  • Fluent business English language is a must; German is a strong plus
