P3 supports the implementation of the Comfort Check-in at Deutsche Bahn
P3 opens hub for embedded software in Poland
The cooperation complements P3's outstanding testing expertise with programming of embedded software and SW-tools. In addition, the proximity to research and young talent ensures P3 will have valuable resources for the development of new automotive software at an promising location. Thus, we are well positioned to further major projects with leading automotive manufacturers and suppliers.
P3 is researching the Digital Quality of the future in the Q-Lab
Inspired by interactive elements of ICAROS, which gave participants a virtual reality wing, the humanoid robot Pepper, or a delightful molecular dinner, we set up an atmosphere to inspire creativity from which the participants could draw from. To kick off the event, the digital prophet, Lukas Bessis introduced the participants into the ‘beta world’.
A central part of the Q-Lab was the generation of ideas using ‘Design thinking’. Here, trendsetting ideas and concepts such as ‘self-controlling processes’ or the ‘project marketplace’ were developed. ‘Predictive Analytics’ proved to be particularly promising for the participants, whereby artificial intelligence is used to proactively predict future problems in the supply chain. Have you caught the digital fever too? Check out the highlights of the event here.

Mobile networks in worldwide comparison
We determine the test winner and publish the results regularly as the P3 connect Mobile Benchmark. Our benchmark combines the scope, scale and scientific rigour that P3 developed while conducting benchmarks in Europe, the US and Australia. They provide users with an objective way of comparing the performance of different mobile networks and their developments against the previous years. The benchmark will also give the operators the opportunity to demonstrate both the strengths of their respective networks and improvements in performance or coverage over time as they continue to invest in these assets.
P3 evaluates cost saving potentials within the NATO
It defines their inter-relationships and changes, to ensure product requirements and documentation conformity. Implementation of effective Configuration Management can reap enormous benefits. It can actually enhance productivity by substantially reducing the life cycle costs, preventing unnecessary duplication of effort, delays in schedule and providing traceability and visibility.
P3 was involved in the study as cooperation partner, implemented by the NATO Working Group 7 under the AC 327 Life Cycle Management Group. All results are based on the experiences of NATO nations as well as NATO bodies and are released to be published in 2017. Find the publication here.
P3 joins CharIN e.V.
CharIN e.V. is a widespread alliance of automotive OEMs, Tier1 and industry groups that was created to develop and establish the CCS as the standard for charging battery-powered electric vehicles.
It has members from all over the globe including General Motors, Ford, FCA, Tesla, Faraday Future, Atieva, Audi, BMW, Daimler, VW, Porsche, ChargePoint, NRG, Recargo, and others. P3’s role will be to develop the acceptance of a global EV charging standard with its current members along with other involved industries and groups. “With several thousand charging cycles on test-drives all over the world, P3 has vast hands-on experience on the challenges of interoperability”, says Markus Dehn, P3 Representative E-Mobility. “Within CharIN we will use our experience from the street, lab and test-stands to help developing an international certification system for CCS.”
