Main Focus
The focus of IPMA® Level B:
- Crash course “Project Management Toolbox”: Goal definition, stakeholder and risk management, project structuring, task management, and much more.
- Focus on your leadership skills: Developing leadership skills, reflecting on your personality including your own communication and conflict styles, optimizing teamwork, leading negotiations, etc.
- Making strategic project decisions, implementing strategies via projects
- Multiple assessment simulations and intensive exam preparation
The training takes place in 5 modules. If you have already completed IPMA® Level D, it can be shortened to 3 modules. In our training courses, we focus on an intensive combination of theory and practice. Various application exercises, realistic case studies and group discussions support the sustainable transfer of theoretical knowledge into practice.

Our recommendation: Ideally, you already have the knowledge from IPMA Level D (methods in classic PM). This course gives you the opportunity to optimally combine your professional competence with your methodological, organizational and leadership skills.

The following minimum experience must have been gained within the last 8 years:
- 5 years’ experience as a project manager, of which at least 3 years in a responsible management role in the management of complex projects

Upon successful completion of the exam, you will be awarded the title “IPMA® Level B – Certified Senior Project Manager”.
Higher certification to IPMA® Level A is possible.
Are you experienced in project management but do not yet have Level C or D certification? As a career changer, you can also take the plunge and start directly with certification at a higher level. In this case, we recommend a personal interview in which your project experience, your current level of knowledge and your leadership skills are analyzed.
