What you'll do
- Monitor and maintain all aspects of the HFT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and data centers.
- Optimize network configurations to reduce latency and ensure the fastest possible data transmission.
- Fine-tune trading systems to maximize their efficiency and minimize response times.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect sensitive trading data.
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard trading operations.
- Set up and maintain monitoring tools to proactively identify system anomalies and potential issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the IT infrastructure, configurations, and processes
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT operations, preferably in a high-frequency trading or financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge in Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Strong knowledge in network protocols and optimization techniques.
- Strong knowledge in low-latency technologies (In-memory databases, High-speed messaging
middleware), hardware and network - Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
- Knowledge of financial market data feeds and trading systems is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes trading environment.
