P3 brings Alexa Voice Services into Cars
P3 is collaborating with Amazon Alexa Automotive to provide system integration and testing services for automakers integrating Alexa into their vehicles.
In addition to demonstrating voice recognition access to Alexa features and capabilities like music, weather, and traffic, this new technology will allow drivers to ask Alexa vehicle specific information, such as vehicle alerts, instructions on corrective action, and even taking care of service scheduling.

Today, more than 180 mobile networks in more than 80 countries are being evaluated with the unique P3 scoring methodology. At the end of 2018, it will be 100 countries.
With our updated framework, we are able to illustrate any possible real-world test case capturing user-centric behavior. We can extract common use cases, or measure and analyse the network performance at specific venues, roads or areas. And finally, we can objectively and transparently compare the performance of mobile networks among each other around the world, across operators. This helps network operators to better understand the capability of their networks and also to demonstrate how well they are delivering wireless connections.

Taking network testing to the next level
The new Mobile Benchmark Season 2018/2019 reflects P3’s unique holistic approach: applying our new P3 framework to all benchmarks for the first time. What is different? It combines drive- and walk-testing with crowdsourced data from countless billions of real customer experiences. Thus, P3 matches in-depth network quality and performance analysis with real end-user experience adding important dimensions like time, geography or variety in devices and tariff plans.

As a riskshare partner, P3 and its manufacturing partner Deharde developed the components for the cylindrical part of the upper fuselage section. These are the largest structural shells currently produced in the aerospace industry. Colleagues from France, Germany, India and the UK worked together transnationally and very successfully in this project. Thanks to our automated design processes and full-3D actuated production, we were able to reduce development and production times. By the way, the Supershells are delivered in transport boxes by ship and heavy haulage, making them the largest "packages" P3 has ever sent out. We are very proud to have contributed an "unmissable" share to one of the largest transport aircrafts and to be part of the Beluga family.
First flight for the automated design of the BelugaXL
It was a great milestone in the 15 years of collaboration between Airbus and P3: After 3.5 years of design, certification and manufacturing work, the smiling BelugaXL prosperously and in time completed its first flight. With 30% additional loading capacity, it provides the potential to ensure internal transport requirements in the future.
